Turns out that a lot of people stole famous mods from Nexus and uploaded them on consoles without the authors consent. So Bethesda launched their own mod portal for Fallout 4 on consoles. Bethesda did very little to stop this until eventually the whole idea was scrapped and canceled. People were stealing mods and content left and right to release their shitty versions on Steam for profit. There was the whole debacle with paid modsīethesda tried to partner up with Valve to provide paid mods on Steam, it failed miserably. Modders then flock around the titles to fix them, but that doesn't change the fact that the company itself seems to fuck a lot of things up during development.
They also really narrowed down dialogue options which was incredibly disappointing to anyone who played the original Fallout or even F3/NV.Īlso everyone was expecting a new engine with great new things, not an updated version of Skyrim engine that was already getting pretty goddamn old.īethesda has a habit of releasing shoddy productsįor quite a while now, Bethesda games have always been riddled with bugs, issues, crashes, lazy design etc.
